Esmeralda, the owner of a traveling comedian group has her hands full with training new assistants, Antonio and Serafine. They tried rope walking and juggling and it was a complete disaster, they can’t do somersaults yet… What will she do with them?! They do, however, say they can play with puppets. Apparently they practiced The Princess and the Pee. Oh sorry – and the Pea! Let’s watch a story about a prince trying to find the right bride …
The show was inspired by the motives of Hans Christian Andersen’s eponymous story, and talks about waiting for what we truly want, and take nothing less instead. Because, where there’s goodness, there’s love.
The poetics of our puppet show comes from over a hundred-year-old travel suitcase that opens a way of story-telling from fairs and markets from that time to the audience …
